Hi all. We are currently under contract with a wedding planning agent for our wedding to be held in Spain at the end of May. At this point, all staff at the company (including directors) have been furloughed and our emails and calls to discuss our contract terms are being ignored. We want to cancel our wedding, but are unable to do this until we have clarification on where we will stand financially under our contract terms. Does anybody know if under the terms of furlough, staff can respond to existing clients, and manage ongoing associated admin under the terms of the contract? If staff are not able to carry out duties and services under the terms of existing contract, does the contract become void?

Please note, the company is a UK run Vat registered business. It is not based out of Spain.0

People are not supposed to work for their employer if that employer has furloughed them. Does your contract say that staff will be available at all times to answer emails? If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
