Any advice appreciated.
So i need to transfer my balance from one credit card to another. 0% was ending.
So decided through this site to use mbna 0% upto 26 or 29 months i think. Low balance transfer fee of 1% .
I got accepted but realised the fee is actually 3.49% not 1% and the length of 0% is only 16 months.
Reading about the card from MSE state, that could happen ok.
But mbna have already paid off my other credit card before the 14 day cooling off period. So I phoned them and the advisor stated it was me who paid it off, I said i didn't pay it you guys did. So now i have to contact yorkshire bank to pay back the money to mbna if i dont want the card can they do this before the 14 days cooling off period? seems abit of a pain in the backside.

Yes, a BT or any other transaction can be carried out within the 14 say cooling period.0

I wouldnt do anything until you can secure a better deal with another credit card provier. The tightening of credit of late, you may not get a better deal?If you can then great, but if not at least you have the backup of having something on 0% for 16 months ok, with a 3.49% fee but that is probably far cheaper than paying interest on where you have that balance now?0

Most people would be up in arms if it was not paid as soon as you were approved.
Hope Yorkshire do not charge you for paying it back.Life in the slow lane0
