I'm literally in your position right now with isupplyenergy! upon transfer to EDF
Complete negligence!
What was your outcome?

good electricity supplier who doesn't change or mess around with direct debits

I've been with EDF for many years ,regularly moving to their blue + tariff ( cheapest ). When I was living at my previous home in debt but with my head in the sand , I set up direct debit but they kept changing the payments randomly and I got letters telling me etc. When I moved home , I stayed with them 🤦. I set up direct debits again with what I wanted to pay meaning I was always in credit with no nasty surprises
Checking the EDF app, they are tampering again after I told them not to! Dreadful company now, and after being bombarded in a stalker like fashion for a smart meter they keep asking for latest meter readings all the time , I'm self isolating living in a communal area , plus gas meter is outside and I'm not allowing the tenants upstairs to share my key for electric cupboard .So I told them on the app they will have to wait .
My recommendation : Avoid EDF
Im changing tariff once this lockdown is over 😼0 -

There is no reason why you cannot change now.
