Not fully paid for Holiday to Florida

Me and 5 others have a holiday of a lifetime booked to Florida staying in all star disney hotel in August. So far we have paid just over £5000 (£2500 per family of 3) deposit
This was paid prior to COVID 19 to Ocean Florida. We are due to pay the other half by 7th June but due to the uncertainty of disney parks being fully open etc we would prefer to cancel (Transferring to next year isnt an option as I am getting married next year so wont have the leave, plus the cost would increase to over £8000 per family of 3 which is out of our budget. Ocean Florida has said we cant have a refund as the flights havent been cancelled yet and are unlikely to be cancelled until approx 3 weeks before we are due to fly.
Would it be more beneficial to pay the remainder and hope that the whole thing is cancelled? I dont really like the idea of losing the £5000 that has already been paid but am neglecting to pay another £5000 incase it isnt cancelled. I also dont like the idea of going go florida for the holiday of a lifetime, only to find the theme parks and hotel facilities arnt fully open never mind potentially putting everyone at risk.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Only you can make that decision ultimately, if you pay the balance obviously you will get all the money back should they cancel the holiday.
If you choose to cancel at this point usually you would lose just your deposit but check your booking paperwork just incase! I can see your point about the parks being affected, it would certainly impact the holiday given your stopping on a Disney site too... sorry I can’t give you a firm answer.1
