Query - Smart Meter replacing Related meter - MPAN removal

Wonder if anyone already had their related meter (E10, E9, etc) replaced with a smart meter by their electricity supplier?
During the process, does the extra MPAN number removed via logical disconnection in the process?

If your supplier moves you onto a Smart meter, this does not a support a related MPAN set up so the 2nd MPAN becomes redundant. Therefore the supplier should contact the DNO to get it logically disconnected. When they unrelate the MPANs they need to change your MTC (middle 3 numbers on topline of S number), from a related one (500-799) to a non-related one (not in related range).

To bring this topic back, now that my smart meter is installed and the 2nd MPAN is redundant.
Is it the suppliers' responsibility or mine to apply for logical disconnection of that MPAN? Supplier said it's my job to contact the DNO :open_mouth:

Supplier is talking rubbish it is their responsibility. Was it the supplier or the installer? Anyway, it wouldn’t hurt to contact the DNO yourself, but it should be the supplier.....
