Refund for booked events

I arranged a hen party in Birmingham and booked Escape Rooms. Obviously they can no longer accommodate the party due to corona virus and have offered a 12 month voucher but refuse to refund me the full price paid. Is there anything either I can do?

Can you not rebook it surely the hen party will still be going ahead?

It will depend on the terms of the contract you agreed to. The alternative would be to sue the venue for non-performance and see what a judge says. They've been dealing with this sort of issues for centuries.
Simple and cheap to do.- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
