My hair (and the OH's) is starting to need a cut
I am assuming that getting a professional cut is going to be impossible for a few months - so need "clippers"
Amazon have clippers from less than £20 to over £1000
What do I need and how much should I spend ?

I’ve been looking to buy hair clippers on Amazon but any that look as if they would do what I need are out of stock! I’m not looking at the high end price items obviously.0

Not Amazon but ours cost under £10 from Lidl and have done the job absolutely fine for my Dad, so you really don't need to spend much.0

You could try buying dog clippers, they will still do the job. A friend used to show her dogs and used clippers on them and her husband. No problems did the job

I shave my head and use Braun standard hair clippers. They are pretty reliable.0

We have Wahl. Not expensive from memory. They are easy to use and do a professional looking job. Hubby cuts his own hair then does mine on a different setting. The result is almost Judy Dench for me, more like Bruce Willis for him.0

I normally use a No. 1 attachment but now I'm stuck indoors for 12 weeks then I don't bother with an attachment. Haven't plucked up the courage yet to go for a billiard ball.
£20 clippers from Argos. More expensive as they are rechargeable and the missus can do it outside to save on sweeping the cuttings up. Also gives nesting material for the birds1 -
Fed up with long hair - I have finally ordered some clippers - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07RKVVBVN/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hzaI am concerned about using them - never have tried to cut my hair in the pastI assume that the combs will prevent any excessive cutting of my locks ?Do I just run the combs over my hair, following the "grain" ?They come with combs 12mm - 3mm - I assume that means tbe length of hair left on the head - and I should start at the maximum length ?What fun........

Start at maximum length and just run through your hair, you'll then be able to see if you're happy with the final length, or repeat with a shorter grade.0

I am a female and usually have a pixie cut very thick hair bought great pair from Amazon(now out of stock), only £26.99 great reviews. They arrived quickly and I did a 6 on sides and back and a 9 on top. Turned out fantastic, I watch my hairdresser when she uses the clippers on the sides and back of my hair so knew what guards to use. Easy peasy.
