Heathrow Express... refund rights?

Hello,
Am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat, in trying to obtain a refund for Heathrow Express train tickets? I had a big trip booked for 7th May, but this is the one ticket/booking that hasn't technically been cancelled so I feel less sure of my rights. Obviously though I no longer have a need to travel to Heathrow with my flight being cancelled. I wrote to Heathrow Express and they are not offering any refunds at all - just a credit for 12 months. While I could be more sure of using this within a 24 month period, 12 months is less likely and I definitely cannot do the trip I was planning for over a year now due to it being a seasonal visit.
Is anyone else in the same situation? They won't budge on not issuing a refund OR extending exchange for a longer period. Again as it's not a cancelled service, I don't know if I just suck this one up as a loss but it feels a bit unfair when the purpose of this ticket isn't able to be fulfilled at the moment with holidays closed from Heathrow.

If the service is still running they don't have to offer anything, so I'd grab the credit.

As said above.  They sell a range of tickets, some are flexible and refundable, but the cheapest Fixed Day tickets aren't.  I guess they are still running services so unfortunately you may have to take the voucher.
  • Can the voucher be sold on ?
Even if you take a small hit on selling it then that has to be better than having a voucher you can't use
