Lowell Group Email but nothing to do with me

I have today received an email from the lowell group to my outlook account but it was addressed to Miss followed by my name and I am Mrs.  When I called them they seemed quite determined it was me they were trying to contact as they have been writing to me (which they haven;t).  I refused to give them my details as I don't have any debt with outstanding payments so he gave me the start of the address of the person and it isn't anything like my address but this has shaken me up.  The guy asked me to check my credit file (which I did this morning on Clear score and there was nothing amiss) and he sounded quite disbeleiving when I assured him I wasn't who they were looking for.  They have said their customer supplied them with that email address but I haven't have any other emails about anything like this, so was this a fishing expedition as my email address does include my name.  Know this probably seems piddly in the grand scheme of things but as I keep hearing about scams I am a bit worried in case there is something amiss.
