Hello
My garage door as falling off and no long required I'm looking to block it up with 4 inch blocks then get someone to render over it
Any tips or need to knows how to start the first few blocks
I know how to lay and cut the blocks just need to know how to start it etc
It's a single block wall so no cavity's
Thank you

I guess you can run it to the line without putting up corners. Getting the first course plumb with a boat level helps. Are you tying in with wall starters?0

For cutting, if you want to do this neatly, you need an angle grinder with diamond disc. You can consider thermalite blocks that are less heavy and can be cut with a handsaw. Also, it's worth using some sort of wall ties to link the new wall to the existing one(s)0
