Avro Energy

I've been with this supplier for 18 months now  - at very good rates - just transferred over to a new fixed tariff that compares favourably with others on MSE. Customer service has been ok to good - successfully reversed an increase to my DD. Wondered why MSE does not appear to feature the company at all in its comparisons?

Avro does appear on the MSE energy comparisons, and indeed some of their tariffs attract possible cashback if someone switches to them.
For us, excluding any possible cashback, they are the 4th cheapest currently available dual fuel tariff, and are about 2% more expensive than the cheapest,

The reason you do not see them is that you are already an Avro customer. Avro does not pay 3rd party sites commission for existing Avro customers transferring tariff with them.
In fact, they don't accept 3rd party applications to transfer existing customers to another tariff at all - you have to go direct to the supplier

But as an Avro customer, they would inform you on their regular bills statments if you could save money by transferring to another of their tariffs. Similarly, they would contact you when the switching window opens for in relation to the upcoming end to a fixed term tariff and provide you details of what they can offer you. You can then compare that manually to what else is on offer from the whole of market.
