Ferry fare refund

I was booked to sail to Spain via Brittany Ferries on 17th March. Due to the FCO advising not to travel to Spain, I cancelld my crossing. I requested a refund from Brittany Ferries but because I cancelled so close to the date of sailing I couldn't have a refund. I then contacted my Travel Insurance company and made a claim only to be informed that I needed to claim a refuind from Brittany Ferries or through my Credit Card company. I have tried this but haven't been succsessful yet. Is there another route I can take? It seems like each company is passing the buck and sending me round in circles.

You lost your right to a refund when you cancelled. You should have waited for them to cancel

As above, you voluntarily cancelled so they don't owe you a refund I'm afraid.

Did you cancel and ask for the refund at the same time?
