Really basic question but of late I have noticed a lot of this on my watchlist and can’t find a definitive reason. Compare the two screenshots below on the dates I have highlighted, 27/4/20 price is 1.204 and the next day is 122.67

No idea where you're viewing that data but it's clearly wrong - there are plenty of other sites giving the correct information, without that massive dip, such as https://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.asp?shareprice=BT.A&share=Bt-Group, https://www.btplc.com/sharesandperformance/investmentoverview/sharepriceinformation/sharepricesummary/index.htm, etc1

Stocks app on iPhone and iPad. It does it on various other companies as well, not just BT. Agree that it looks odd and completely incorrect.eskbanker said:No idea where you're viewing that data but it's clearly wrong - there are plenty of other sites giving the correct information, without that massive dip, such as https://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.asp?shareprice=BT.A&share=Bt-Group, https://www.btplc.com/sharesandperformance/investmentoverview/sharepriceinformation/sharepricesummary/index.htm, etc0 -
Some shares are quoted in pounds, some are quoted in pence...
...and sometimes the software uses the wrong unit and is out by a factor of 100.
