Issues receiving a V5 for a vehicle bought end Feb. Cant get hold of DVLA

Hi,  I bought a vehicle at the end of Feb this year.  I had to tax it using the new keeper section of the V5 as I couldn't do it on line.  I spoke to DVLA at the time and the V5 had been issued, to me, but not to my address.  they wouldn't tell me where it had been sent. They suggested using a V62 document and taxing at the post office which I did, this also notified my correct address and the new driver section had to go with it as I basically had to request a new V5.  Vehicle now has 6 months tax on it (paid in full).  Problem is that I still don't have the new V5 document for it and I want to SORN it as its kept on private land and not being used, however I don't have a tax reminder or a V5 document to do this on line.  I tried calling them yesterday and they are not answering calls due to COVID so cant check if they have my correct details.  Anything I can do as I cant find any other way of contacting them and I've no other option but to keep the vehicle taxed.

The V62 is going to be your delay.  I bought one at the start of March, and had a V5C through within the week.

DVLA aren't doing any manual applications for anything currently - for fairly obvious reasons - with the exceptions of keyworkers. You're going to have to wait.

I presume the vendor did the keeper change online, and simply put the wrong address in?

I had a similar problem when the garage entered my address incorrectly. It took me ages to get a replacement V5 and that was before covid-19
