Redundancy /Furlough

just wondering if the following is possible before I go back to my former employer:
I was made redundant in March before furlough scheme announced.

Received redundancy payment in March and April pay. Can I request the reverse the redundancy and reinstate me and furlough me instead and then when the furlough ends they then make me redundant again? 

I don’t know if because I have received the redundancy if they means they can’t do it? Or if I should pay back the redundancy to receive it again once furlough expires/hold onto it and just leave with nothing owed at end of furlough

There's no harm in asking but expect a no.

The most practical way of approaching this is for you to ask whether they will rehire you and furlough you.They may be reluctant to do this because of issues over continuity of employment, but I would expect there to be a break in that continuity. So long as there is, they would treat you like any new employee and you would have no statutory redundancy rights unless you stayed there for two years. You would keep the redundancy you have already received.
