Norwegian refund tracker

Trying to figure out who got refunds and when from Norwegian in this thread.

My flight to USA was cancelled [including return flights] on 21 Mar for travel date of 5 Apr.
21 Mar = refund requested by me
8 Apr = offered me voucher which I declined, they issued me a separate refund request number
16 Apr = asked chat agent on refund date, he said no idea when they will refund. No further response since then.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

  • I have also applied for a refund from 20th march, i have had an email confirm my application for refund but no offer of vouchers
    In a nut shell the email just said dont contact us to chase us up or it will take longer!
    Have heard nothing since, cant get through via phone
    I have contacted Santander to log a case to begin a chargeback on my card incase they go bust, but they said wait till end of may and if still no contact then we will step in
    I think they were on the verge of going bust before the coronavirus anyway, and are probably just holding out departing with cash until they go into administration
    Please keep me informed if you hear anything and i will too

    I have also claimed under section 75. But bank told me it will take at least 2 months for them to investigate the matter.

    With a S75 no set timeframe for the claim, so can take as long as they want BUT if you complain how long it's taking, they then have 8 weeks to sort it out.
    (sorry if you already know this)

    Requested refund 23rd March and received confirmation email
    Chased up 2nd April
    Due to fly 4th April
    Contacted bank beginning of May re S.75
    Emailed by Norwegian 20th May to say refund being processed
    Received refund 22nd May
    I'm not sure what order they are processing refunds, as people applied after me and their flights were later but received there refund before me.

  • Hi,Had flights booked uk-malaga last november for June this year.Had the The outgoing leg for the 13th cancelled first then waited for the return leg to be cancelled.Applied for the refund on the 21st may received an auto reply and ref number.Then on the 29th May received an a email that i was receiving the full refund.The full refund arrived in my credit card account on the 4th June

    Booked flights for 5 people LGW to/from Denver in separate bookings for outward and return flights
    Outward flight 18 June 2020 cancelled and refund requested (and ref number issued) on 21 May 2020
    Full refund received on 30th May

    Return flight 2 July 2020 cancelled and refund requested (and ref number issued) on 27 May 2020
    Chased up on FB messenger and Norwegian Chat on 4 July - standard response saying it's taking longer than usual etc. etc.
    Still waiting for refund (over £2000)

  • Booked in FEBRUARY for a trip to USA on 6th August for 10 days.
    Request refund on 6th June. Nothing apart from Automated response and ref number.
    I have also taken it up with Credit Card company. They too are being very slow. 
    It worries me your dates have passed and you still haven't got your money for your return flight.
