When will they add the tick and cross buttons back?!

Options
In the old forum, you used to be able to at least put a cross on posts without having to actually click on them. This made going through the forum much easier and quicker. Since they've redone the forum I asked about this feature and they said it was being worked on, however months later and it's still not there and it's so frustrating. I've been having to spend hours going through every post individually to tick and cross them, in order to catch up and know which ones I've done/not done. Now I have a newborn baby and it's impossible to keep up, when will this feature come back?! I hope I'm not the only one who finds this a pain :/

Try asking in the site feedback section but I assume that at the moment any staff that are working are concentrating on keeping the whole site including the forum running along with ensuring info is up to date and not trying to add tweaks for just one of the many sections on the forum part

the March update in there also has some info

which includes  "In the pipeline and soon to be delivered, we’re also....:

    ·      Returning ability to skip competitions from list view (we'll also make it possible to mark them as entered here too)

I think we have to accept that this will be used as an excuse for some time yet, (Rather in the way that "Computer Error" was once used ;) ,) which is frustrating when it can make comping a chore rather than fun.  If only we had a timescale, it would make requests to "Be patient," quite tolerable.
Sadly, it's now impossible for end-daters to comp efficiently by getting ahead as any ticks or crosses don't show in search. Now we don't have the facility to re-order, search is now the only way to enter this way.

I find that the long running comps are now confusing (on a continuous thread), as I don't know if I've entered.  I could see if I'd thanked the post, which meant I could carry on where I left off.  But now the compliment button is just rubbish and doesn't show if I've clicked it.

I quite agree with you there. I never got the hang of how to sort this forum out or use the search bar, I would've loved to be able to put them in date order but never figured out how to do it. I'd love to know how everyone else is keeping track of the ones they enter and the ones they don't.

I enter new comps which I'm interested in daily, clicking the compliment button, and entered/skipped.  I also do a search for competitions ending within a couple of days, and check whether there are any I might have missed.  Unfortunately, with the entered button not appearing on search, you have to click into the thread to see whether you have pressed the compliment button.
It's takes much longer than it used to, and not sure why they changed it.
