If these are all separate bookings it's not going to be possible.0

Are virgin Australia refunding or are you claiming on insurance ,either way can you book those 3 flights with another airline, assuming they are seperate bookings0

Are they still flying even in administration?0

We’ve got flights booked in early October with Virgin Australia from Sydney to Hobart return. I went on to their website a day or so ago and I could still book the same flights we’re booked on. I’m waiting to see what happens as from what I can make out, they are still flying and it may be that by October, they are out of administration.0

You will get mixed answers unless you can expand on your situation.
If you booked direct with the airline, used a credit card and the airline is dissolved or cancelled your flight routing then a claim under S75 for a refund is certainly possible. Scroll to bottom of main page for S75 information.
If booked via an agency, perhaps have different airline flights also connected, then less easy.
The administrators of Virgin Australia are I believe exploring various options for continuance of future operations or a sale in part or while to new investors. By the time of your travel there may or may not be new ownership who may or may not honour existing ticket sales. Much is unknown in the immediate term and you may need to just wait for things to settle over coming weeks.0 -
I think that is all you can do at the moment. Good that you are regularly checking their website for details. Hopefully by October domestic flights on your routing will have started to operate to an improved schedule (VA, QF or JQ). I would think the Australian Government would need to prioritise and support service over to Hobart (although whether operated by VA might be another matter).lady1964 said:We’ve got flights booked in early October with Virgin Australia from Sydney to Hobart return.
