Gift card not activated

Options
Hello, I am hoping you could please tell me if there is anything I could do. We got given a £200 gift card for our newborn baby from work for next. The person at the till didn't activate the card. Fortunately we have the receipt proving it has been paid for.
When contacting customer services they say nothing can be done until stores reopen. That might be a long time, if they even do.

Thanks!!
Richard

Not sure what you expect anybody else to suggest, you have to wait until the stores re-open.
  • I thought someone might be able to shed some light on if I can go a different route, I don't really want to wait & lose the money if they go bust.

They're not going to go bust.  Just wait for the store to open.

Next are one of the least likely chains to go bust. You'll just need to wait.

Search online for the CEO Email website, then search it for the Next CEO details. A polite email via that route may yield positive results.

    Or try social media.

Otherwise you'll need to wait until a store opens up.

Not going to go bust, didnt think you could charge for a gift card without activating it.
Give the email option a go but I suspect your going to have to wait for when your local store opens.
