Gotta love free money. Once my remortgage goes through I hope to do a bank switch.

  • Still not a lot happening here. DHs suit set us back £250, I've joined in the £10 a day challenge for October with the aim of paying this off. It does make it seem so much better when I break it down like this.
Minimum payments are due on all the cards this week so I will get these paid and update my totals. I hoping to take at least another 5% off this month but may be harder due to all the financial commitments that we seem to have this month.
I had my bill for my management fees this morning. I completely forgot it was that time of year. Its only £60 but its £60 I hadn't accounted for. I may start a monthly direct debit for it, I didn't realise it was an option until one of the residents in our estate Facebook page said about it. That way it will only be £10 a month.
I'm trying to get my head into dieting but kinda thinking what's the point this week when I have a wedding on Friday but thats the sort of mindset I need to get out of. I will be skinny for my holidays next year!!!

  • 9 days since I posted!!!
I don't suppose I have enough to say to post every day but need to check in a bit more regularly to keep me on track.

Well its fair to say that I have just had a very expensive weekend. It was DH best friends wedding, after spending nearly £250 on outfits between us, £40 on a mini bus and good knows how much on drinks, I really need to find ways to cut back for the rest of the month.

I still haven't had time to sit down and work out Octobers payments towards the debt but I will definitely get to that this week as I think I'm doing quite well and it will remind me why I'm doing all this. I need to set up a couple of direct debits to go out of my Santander bank switch too or I will lose out on the switching bonus from that to. Maybe best to write myself a list so I don't forget anything.

Food shopping has to be done today, the cupboard is literally bare.

I also started the diet yesterday, well its not so much a diet but cutting back and trying to increase the amount of calories I burn. If I restrict myself too much then thats when I fall right off the wagon. Day 2 so far and going well. Really hit home how much weight I've actually put on when I went to see my nan for her 90th birthday last week and she told me its suits me being a bit rounder, lol. Been for a quick 2 mile walk and we are going to walk the dog when DH gets home from work.

Anyway time to get on with my day and I will hopefully check back later on.
