Getting out of the vicious circle

Good morning.
Im starting to feel a bit meh today. A bit of cabin fever and a ever so slight hangover.
Will have to get my butt in gear and do something today, I didn’t move off the settee all day yesterday and I wasn’t even being very productive as I sat down.
I did open one new savings and renamed all my accounts, I remember reading somewhere that it motivates you more if your accounts are named. We’ll see how that goes.
looking forward to payday now so I can start to make some payments.2 -
Good morning. Didn’t update again yesterday as it was such an unproductive day. I’m afraid lockdown has seen me reach for a glass of wine all too often and probably where a big chunk of our spends went last month. There is no wine in the house now. I’ll maybe add a bottle or 2 on my fortnightly shop but apart from that no more wine. I’ve woke up fresh as a daisy this morning and can already feel it’s going to be a productive day.
Plan if attack today is is clean the house from top to bottom and meal plan. That was supposed to be yesterday’s plan but hey ho today’s a brand new day.
Have a great day everyone. Hopefully I’ll check in later with some positive news.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Good evening.
Had a very productive day today. Reminds me how much more I can get done with a clear head. Up early, stripped the bed, walked the dog and back to clean the house from top to bottom. I have this weird thing where after each room is cleaned I light a burner. God help DH if he lights it before the last fleck of dust has gone.
Made a half effort cooked dinner and made the best Yorkshire puddings I have ever done if I do say so myself. I normally wait till the morning to clean the kitchen while Poppy (the dog) is eating the breakfast but I even did that straight away today.
Weather looks like it’s turning a bit miserable again today but it not like I have anywhere to go.
Managed another NSD today, DH is right on board with seeing the benefit of taking lunch to work everyday so I think we’ve turned a corner. Which has reminded me I haven’t ade his bottle of squash yet.
On that subject, I opened my last bottle of Pepsi today. So once that’s gone, it’s gone.
Remembered today that I am still paying a weight watchers subscription and watching my weight I am not. I’ll get that cancelled tomorrow.

Glad you had a more productive day. It sets you up for the week then. I swept the front room yesterday and felt able to think more clearly afterwards.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good morning everyone, well good afternoon now.
It has however been a good morning already which is surprising as I had the most rubbish nights sleep ever. We made the mistake of letting the dog on the bed when she was a puppy and now as a 3 year fully grown lab she still sleeps in bed with us but tends make me balance on the edge. I gave up at 3am and went to the spare room. We’ll never get her out of it now though.
I have already walked 4.5 miles, I’m part of a motivational Fitbit challenge group on Facebook and it’s certainly making me stay as active as possible during lockdown. 2 loads of washing done and on the line and some mince out of the freezer to make lasagne for tea. I still have done a meal plan but don’t anticipate needing to do any shopping until at lease Thursday.
I was was looking through all my savings accounts and none of them pay any interest worth having so I’m going to open a regular savings account with HSBC and Lloyd’s today that I can pay £250 a month each into. One at 2% and one at 2.75%. Not a lot I know but better than the pennies I’m getting at the moment.
As as I lay awake last night, I was thinking of my next dream to become mortgage free but baby steps I know. Need to look at getting rid of this debt first.
Well I think I’ve warbled on long enough now. Time to start getting busy.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Good morning. Well I’ve had a lovely lie in this morning and feel like I had a fantastic nights sleep last night. The pooch was well behaved.DH is off work today so I have some company even if we can’t do anything. Not much planned for today. I may look at my gas and electric bills. I changed my British Gas tariff in March and it’s definitely a lot more expensive than my last tariff. My direct debit if £70 was enough to see us through the entire year but now my smart meter is indicating even without the heating in that my costs are running around £68, so I’m going to end up in debit by the end of the year.May need a small tip up shop today. The fridge and freezer are looking completely bare. Only 3 more days and I can go back to work. Never thought I would look forward to that so much.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Updating late in the day today.
I’ve been busy analysing this months finances as it pay day tomorrow YAY!!! It’s also my last day in isolation tomorrow. I never thought I would say that I can’t wait to go to work but I honestly can’t.
Today I’ve signed back into all the survey sites I used to use. I found that I’m very close to payout on a couple of them so ive made an effort to complete a couple of surveys. I logged into my paypal account just to make sure I remembered the details and found £3.70 in there. Also logged into topcash back and found £15 payable. All this has been paid straight off credit card. I would never have done that before.
I joined a couple of other sites as well and have already come close to payout on one of them.
