Are you a student nurse or doctor?
Have you checked whether you'd be eligible for a payment from your university hardship funds?
Do you get DSA (Disabled Student Allowance)?
Not checked on the hardship fund, feel other people may be having a harder time than me.

The hardship funds are there for eligible students.  I recommend you apply for it.  Let Student Services make their subjective decision based on your objective application. Nothing more, nothing less.  You may find that you 'deserve' the extra funding...  :)

Thank you Willing2learn, you have been most helpful.
Do you think I would qualify for a DRO based on that income or would I be better off biting the bullet with Bankruptcy?
I think it's going to be a while before credit fix pull their fingers out!

fatbelly is the IVA / DRO guru.  Follow his or her advice and you won't go far wrong.  :)  I am just trying to ensure that you are in receipt of all available sources of income.

    Cheers W2L

OP - you can;t do anything at the moment - it's one form of insolvency at a time. I have seen it take over a year to terminate an  IVA. So just concentrate on getting your situation stable, maximising income for the family as a whole and paying for essentials like food

In the meantime you are protected against any action from your creditors.

Thank you fat belly, I think I may hear from them when they don't get their monthly payments. I will keep this post update.
