Rented council house

I live in a rented council house and they are refusing to repair a hole in the roof and insulate the house I had a inspector round and he admitted to me loft needed it and a brick was taken out of wall low down and there was a small amount right at the bottom crumbled up but they are saying walls are insulated it is freezing here in the winter and my gas I pay via pre payment and spend a lot in winter time what can I do ??

On what grounds are they refusing to repair the roof and the bricks?
Do you have a photo of the hole and other damage?
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Who refused?And whowas 'the inspector'?Have you written formally to them at the proper address, and quoted the inspector?1

Is this a long standing problem or have you raised this since covid 19?
Write reminding them of the problem and copy in your MP and local councillor giving them an adequate time to respond.
Get hejp from CAB or local charity in drawing up letters if necessary and always keep copies of what you sent and recieve1 -
Is there a damp problem as well?
