Parkdean resorts refund.

Hi, I was booked up to go to one of the Parkdean resorts parks over the Easter holiday but unfortunately this was cancelled due to all parks being closed as per government advice. I was sent an email saying I could get either a voucher or refund so I elected for full refund which I was told would take 28 days, refund asked for on 23rd March, I’ve still not received any money from Parkdean and have been in contact several times being told different excuses every time. The latest being that they were investigating why the refund had not been processed and that I couldn’t get any money until that investigation was completed. I was wondering if anyone could help me with my legal rights over this?

  • I paid by credit card and was told I would get a full refund. Just had an email from Parkdean saying they had processed everything and it would be in my account within 4-5 days, over 2 weeks later than their original promise, however the amount they’ve stated in the email is the final balance I had to pay and doesn’t include my initial deposit.

You are entitled to all your money back.
Contact your Credit Card company say Parkdean has refused you a full refund  for them cancelling your holiday and you want to make a Section 75 Claim
If they say you can't claim, say they are legally incorrect and you dispute their decision and you want a "letter of deadlock"
If they say you have to wait, say they are legally incorrect and you dispute their decision and you want a "letter of deadlock"

  • Ive been trying all morning to get through on the phone and havent managed to! The online cancellation button doesnt work and the cancellation email they sent states a rediculously long wait for a refund if they havent heard from me by end of November.  Trecco bay in Wales is not shut due to lockdown. I cannot communicate with them at all and think its extremely poor of them . Ive attached a picture of the email i got.

Not sure what you are asking.   The emails seems clear enough?    If you don't want a voucher you ignore request.  O.K. so you may have to wait for 28 days from end of November (fingers crossed) until you get your refund but can't really think of anything else you can do other than wait.   Doubt requesting a chargeback would be any quicker even if you were successful which probably not as they have advised you will be given a refund if you do not wish to accept a voucher.
