Abbey Overdraft vanished !

 Without warning my £1800 overdraft has been taken away on my Abbey bank account, the only contact I have had recently is to ask for my Interest option on the account to be changed over (and this caused fun and games at the branch having trouble with new computer system). I have had this overdraft on the account for at least 10 years and have no issues with credit rating.
Anyone else had similar problems recently ?

Knowing the new Abbey system well, sounds like the advisor who put your application through didn't put an overdraft amount in when they processed the change, so you've been agreed a change onto the other rate but with an overdraft of 0. Go back to the branch, they should (possibly with a couple phone calls) be able to put the overdraft back on and get rid of any charges you've incurred.
