Sending a deposit. Barclays. CHAPS

Does anyone know how many CHAPS payments I can make a day. I just found out that it's limited to £50,000 per transaction...... but is this also the daily limit?
This is with Barclays.
I need to send my large deposit to my solicitor by ~midday tomorrow and with a £50,000 limit I need to send 4 transactions.

Perhaps call Barclays as it may be a higher limit of they do the transfer on your behalf.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

To make payments over these limits, you’ll need to visit a branch."

There's no limit for CHAPS.

Make sure you confirm the bank account details over the phone via a number on their website, been a lot of scams in the past"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

ok, so I have not got enough days left to make 3 more CHAPS payments from my Barclays account. I'd need to make 3 due to the £50,000 max limit and I only have 1 day left to pay. And I don't know if I can get to a bank tomorrow to send funds in branch as I am working and banks are only open for a limited time.
I have been asked to send funds by 'telegraphic transfer'. I am not sure exactly what this means / covers. Do normal bank transfers come under Telegraphic Transfer? I have sent one transfer of £50,0000 by CHAPS. Could I just send the next £50,000 by CHAPS tomorrow and the remaining £52,000 by bank transfer? Would this be ok?
or could this whole payment have simply been done by bank transfer in the first place?0 -
TT = CHAPS
Did you even try calling Barclays to see if they could do anything over the phone?
Your only realistic option is to take time off and go to the bank tomorrow.
If the solicitors do not receive your deposit, they cannot exchange/ complete.

Maybe another option is to send some funds from another of my banks, like Santander. But the solicitor has previously requested 6 months worth of bank statements to be sent to them by post for money laundering checks. I am wondering if they would accept payment from my Santander account if I emailed them 6 months worth of statements?0 -

Only your solicitor can answer if they would accept PDF copies of your statements. Did they for your others or was it the originals they wanted?
(Mine were fine with PDFs as was my broker / lender)Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

I would assume they will be ok with PDFs. Good to hear your solicitors were ok with them.
Mine asked a couple of months back for the 6 months worth of statements and were happy with print outs from online banking and did not need original paper copies that you get sent in the post.1 -
First I've heard of a CHAPS payment limit. No need to go into a branch - you can do it in online banking.
