Dent in replacement minibus from my insurance company
Options
Good Morning
To keep it simple. I was involved in a road traffic accident, non fault. My vehicle was written off and since then the insurance have gave me a hire replacement vehicle.
Coming out of the supermarket today I've found a small Dent on the rear of the vehicle. Am I liable for this when the vehicle gets taken back by my insurance company
Thanks

Unless you can prove it wasn't your fault by finding evidence that allows the hire company to claim it from the person who caused it, yes it will deemed to be your responsibility.
You could see if there is CCTV of the area and if it was caused by a vehicle, then it could be recovered from the third party. If it was caused by a trolley then it will be near on impossible.1 -
Was there a dent noted when you signed for it? No.
Will there be a dent noted when you return it? Yes.
Who else do you expect to be liable?0
