I have just paid my credit card off and it’s a day late. It was due 27th April. The days are getting blurred together.

Anyways I am due to get mortage funds released from another bank. Can this affect that. I really don’t want a late payment marker . First time in a long time I’ve been late payment.

    Based on what?
I've not seen any lenders take a favourable view on un-agreed late payments at all. "This climate" making no difference at all.

Try talking to them but I don't expect they will remove what is a factual marker. If you had agreed a payment holiday that would be different.

Can i ask why you don't have a direct debit setup?

I have tweeted them and they said they arent charging late fees or making marks in this current times

    I haven’t got a direct debit because I don’t want one.

My understanding is many credit card companies will remove a market if you get  in contact with them, especially if is only a day late.

No doubt you're right but this does mean that such a credit card company is knowingly misreporting the customer's behaviour to its credit reference agency(ies).

I would at least setup a DD for the minimum
    payment.

I think very few credit card providers would report a late payment in your situation.
