New build house not finished

Hi all, we moved into a new build property in February. The property still isn't completed. There is no driveway, the outside boundary walls needs finishing and there seem to be 100s of other small jobs to finish. However, the builders have already started building the next two houses and have apparently abandoned ours. I realise they are not permitted inside our house during the pandemic but they can definitely be finishing the exterior jobs. Who can I turn to for advice on this matter please?

The builder should have a 2 year warranty period, this should cover the jobs being finished. If they don't respond to requests to finish it take it up with NHBC. Why did you move in when such work wasn't completed anyway?1

I guess they fell for the " move in within 28 days or you lose the house"

It's not that they "aren't permitted inside your house" - there's nothing to say they can't... But they'll have furloughed the people who would be doing the work.CWalton84 said:Hi all, we moved into a new build property in February. The property still isn't completed. Make sure everything's documented, in writing, and make sure everything's notified to them, in writing. Then it'll all sort itself out once life returns to normal.0 -
I am guessing that this is a smaller local developer not a larger developer.
It is usually the case with the larger developers that the driveway/parking has to be completed for the house to be signed off by the warranter.0
