Help needed

Hello,
this is the first time I have posted so please excuse the ramblings. I have found myself in the worst situation and I just don’t know what to do. 

Over the past few years I have accumulated a large amount of debt. It now stands at just over 40k. Nobody knows not even my husband. It would destroy him and probably us. I feel so lonely. 

I have started looking into getting a dmp. Would I need to tell my husband or declare his income. The house is in his name only - we do have a joint bank account - but neither of us use this - so I was thinking about closing this down - so there are no finical links between us, would this work? 

Any advice regarding dmps would be helpful. I do work and have a good job - but currently am making minimum payments only and then struggling to get through the month. I’m not sleeping properly and just feel stressed all the time. I have never even spoken about this ever... 
need to make a change.

Hi emsyy, sorry to hear you are struggling. This would get much better response if it were posted in the debt free wannabe section, at the moment it's in challenges. Maybe someone can move it for you, Or you could repost over there. You will get lots of helpful advice once it's in the right place to be seen, good luck, mumtoomany.
