    Yes.
Buy the other property for £162K and then sort out curtains or blinds for yourself.
  • So how new is this new build?
It sounds desperate tactics on behalf of the seller.... perhaps they are selling at a loss?
Have you corroborated how much new blinds would be?
TBH I'd be tempted just to go for the other one if everything is the same. There is no way the demand is anything but a bluff... if you refuse it the blinds are worthless to them unless they are going to a house with the same sized windows....

Fair one, third option is just pull out of it and buy something different without calling the sellors on their mis-selling.

It's three years old and I'm totally with you re they're not worth anything to the sellers. They've already got over the asking price from us and those custom blinds were their justification for the property being more expensive anyway. I just feel like they're being pretty cheeky.

  • What is the matter with calling them out on it, are you scared of hurting their feelings or something?

If the fittings are worth it in your opinion, it seems a shame to miss out.
Just get the solicitors to write back and reject the offer, it's either with the fittings or no deal.

I have. I'm just wondering if IATA. I just don't think I am.

  • They were being cheeky asking for over the asking price without competing bidders or an offers over caveat! I would buy the cheaper plot and get my own blinds. And I’d tell the agent why. Custom made blinds are a lame reason to pay £10k more than an identical one without them.
