Expect the credit card company to either reject the claim or turn it down, but don't take that as a final answer (unless you want to)
Good luck

Hi, me and my sister have booked New York through Expedia for December but I want to defer it to next December. I rang them up and they said there is nothing they can do until the first week in December . I’m really unhappy to be going this year, for a start Broadway is closed until January and I’m thinking there will be other restrictions. It’s just not the holiday we were hoping for. Why do we have to wait so long before we can try and defer it ?Thank you0

Presumably the terms under which you booked don't grant you any rights to make changes? If the Ts & Cs allow you to modify the booking for little or no cost then obviously you can go ahead and do so at your convenience, but if you don't have those rights then they're under no obligation to negotiate anything just because you don't want to go.Debbiehodge65 said:Hi, me and my sister have booked New York through Expedia for December but I want to defer it to next December. Given the ever-changing circumstances for flights, hotels, government restrictions, etc, I can see why they'd be reluctant to act so far ahead - by December you may feel more inclined to travel, or it's also possible that they'll have to cancel some or all of the arrangements by then....0 -
Thank you very much for your help 😊0
