VAX Warranty

I purchased a VAX hoover and during the warranty period it required a replacement floor head. The floor head was sent to me in June last year 2019. 
The replacement floor head has now broken and VAX will not replace as the hoover itself is out of warranty. 
VAX say that the replacement part isn't covered, surely that part has to have its own warranty?

No surely about it.  Warranty terms are set at the discretion of the manufacturer and not a consumer right.  Looking at it from the other point of view, if each replacement part had its own warranty, you'd effectively have an ever-extending warranty on the whole cleaner.

That's not how warranties work. They've already supplied you with a new brush head which you've had use of for several months, but they won't send you  new ones indefinitely. 

In addition, you say the head is "broken". Do you mean physically  broken into  pieces? 

If that was the case with the first head I'd say you were fortunate Vax even replaced that one.  

You may need to address how you are operating the cleaner..

If it helps, you can buy such replacement parts quite cheaply on E-Bay.
