Provident doorstep loans.

I started using Provident doorstep loans way back around 2006. Could not stop borrowing from them until I hit retirement & found it impossible to make repayments.
I was advised & used a company called ALLAY to try & claim back exorbitant interest I had been paying for many years.
ALLAY corresponded with Provident but got no reply & my case was referred to the FOS. The time frame at FOS was at that time set at 6 months. Six months came & went...
I waited patiently & heard nothing. The FOS had in the meantime raised their time frame to 10 months. so I continued
to wait for some response. at around 15 months I began calling Allay. they got back to me only to tell me that for some reason my case had fallen "between the benches" but now they promised it will be dealt with. I continued to await an outcome. After numerous phone calls & emails, 21/2 years from the start date the FOS awarded me £19.500 . and said Provident had agreed to erase all debts from my credit file. That was on 28th January 2020 FOS gives them till the 28th of February to make payment.
We are now coming up to to 28th of April I have not heard from Provident & Allay seem very laid back about it all.
Can anybody advise or help in anyway ? PLEASE H E L P!

You just need to W A I T.
Things are a little busy at the moment, but the redress will come.
In the meantime, you might want to establish on what amount Allay will be taking their commission on, if debts have also be erased.2 -

it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)3 -
Yvonne did you ever hear back? I am in the same situation with my mothers refund. We still have until the end of the month but I did assume the case would be that they would need a lot of prompting to actually pay out. If you haven’t heard have you flagged with the FOS 2 months seems excessive when they had a deadline0

Hi. I am in need of some help. I have just discovered that my father has been receiving doorstep loans from provident for the last 15 years or so. He has never paid a loan off in full without obtaining another loan to do this. It seems a massive con. For example he will have maybe £1400 left to pay on one loan. He is then offered another loan for £2000 but the outstanding £1400 is deducted from this and he is left with £600 but a debt of over £4000???????? I know that he should just say no but he was struggling to pay the weekly payments and the additional loan did not increase his weekly payments by any more than £5 but extended it over a much longer period of time. To make matters worse he has never been asked to prove his income. He is 71 this year and is currently paying £100 a week to Provident which is more than two thirds of his weekly pension. Surely this is irresponsible lending? He has never claimed to be working and frequently receives letters offering him more money. He has never been offered the opportunity to reduce his payments. It is clearly obvious to the agent that he is struggling but it seems that he is being taken advantage of and just increasing his debt even further causing him more stress and worry to add to the fact that he suffers from COPD and does not need the extra worry. Is he stupid to have done it? Probably. Should he have spoken up before? Definitely. But this does not change the situation he finds himself in now. Should I put a claim in for irresponsible lending on his behalf?1
