Morning all,
Hope you are all safe and well.
I’ve got a Morrisons delivery coming in a bit, we are all very excited as it’s our first in 4 weeks. I’m even more excited that I have flour and yeast coming 😊
I need to ease up on the baking as our waistlines are expanding. I’m using baking as a way of coping with my anxiety. It’s something I can loose myself in.My DD went and collected all my prescriptions this morning, sadly half mine where missing. So I had to go and get them and explain. I’m so cross as I’m in the venerable group, why is nothing ever simple. Was lovely seeing my DD, I’d not seen her in 5 weeks. I got emotional and sobbed after she left. Was so hard not being able to give her a hug. She has moved out to protect me as she is still working. She dropped off some baby fish as the BFs fish had loads of babies a few weeks ago. They are so cute and will be a good distraction. My son turns 18 on Friday so going to wrap up his pressies today. He has requested my homemade pizza for his birthday tea so the yeast coming in the shop is good timing. We heard over the weekend more friends loved ones have lost the battle with Covid. My thoughts are with anybody else in the same situation.10 -
Morning everyone. Beautiful morning here and I so enjoyed my dog walk.FunkyFairy, I’m sorry you were upset after your DD left. It’s hard not being able to see family up close and give them a cuddle! This will pass - who said we’re one day closer to it ending? Someone in the thread today! Memory eh?
RedRuby - all best for the dressing.Gers - hope car passes ok. Sure it will.
Marie - we’re all fine thanks for asking. I often think of our old style meet up. How many years ago?Ok folks I’m off to do some work (from home). Thinking of you all today and wishing you as good a day as possible x12 -
Morning all, it's a bit overcast here, no sign of sun yet. I am hoping though.I was angry last night as Garfield attacked a young cat and I had to step in, Nanny wielding a sweeping a brush is not to be messed with ! Then over the road neighbours had visitors, lots of them, looked like Noels house party in full swing. The man is always very heplful, but I don't think he or his wife were at the front of the queue when brains or common sense were given out. There has been no social distancing or staying at home since the start of thisAt the moment I have a small wash in the WM, it may be the last chance of doing any this week as rain is forecast
Then I'm doing nothing else today except cooking a gammon joint in the slow cooker and Mr Fix It is planning some sort of glaze to go on it later, goodness knows what concoction he will come up with ! We'll probably have HM chips or wedgies with it for tea.
Take care, stay safe and well. Hugs to all.nan xx

Re Nonna's Pasta Bake. Er NELS I don't think that idea will take off!!
TAFF it doesn't have to travel far. DD stops off on her way home and then it's about half a mile, if that, down to her house. I have it cooked, hot and table ready so the girls can dive straight in!
My Iceland order was duly delivered on time with one or two unavailables. No lettuce, no Cinammon & Raisin bagels and NO BRANCOTT ESTATE - aaargh!!!!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -

I'm happy to report that my car passed the MOT.
I spent a quiet 45 minutes in the garage reading my book, it was oddly quiet though peaceful.
On the way home I picked up a couple of things from Marks, it's mostly quiet in there and easy to get in.TA - sorry about your missing winenot good. Was there not a sub?

AfternoonTA my order had no lettuce either, wonder if it's a countrywide shortage ? I have ordered some from Morries for next week but I'm not holding out much hope, probably only get half a shop anyway. I had to google Brancott estate as I didn't have a clue as to what it was - doh! silly me ! I shall certainly use Iceland again though.Gers well done to your car for passing it's MOT, not so good for the purse though.DD and DGS called and we had a swapping session again. Our loppers back for our hair clippers and a 1000 piece jigsaw. SiL has started doing jigsaws and has ordered some online so more swapping will be done in the future. DD asked where I'd been on holiday as I look like I've just come back from Ibiza or somewhere
However our DGS was desperate to get in the house and stay and it felt horrible to be so near but so far away from them. I don't think for one minute that they have the virus, but as SiL has to go out to do the shopping, we don't want to take any chances.
Love nan xx
