Hi, I know marks and spencer & tesco are giving you till July to apply for payment holiday, just in case your circumstances change. Are most providers doing this?

No I believe you have to apply by the end of April to receive holidays for May-July.

The new measures were introduced on 14 April and entail a three month holiday starting any time within the following three months, so payment holidays can be requested to start from dates up to 14 July:
    When this applies
You will be able to request help under these measures for a period of 3 months – you will then be able to benefit from them for a period of 3 months from when you agree them with your lender.
MSE makes this point, alongside the list of card providers and their responses, at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2020/03/uk-coronavirus-help-and-your-rights/#loanhelp

You have until 14 July 2020 to request a payment holiday

I did contact Lloyds and I was told that at the moment they do not have a cut off point when you can apply for a payment holiday as its uncertain times.
