Garage roof

Hello
Moved into this property last year now it's time to sort externals
I've a garage roof which is leaking I'm no expert but seems its a old asbestos roof
What I've read about them there very little risk and don't contain much asbestos
Yes the trees on top don't help but wery to rip down incase there was high risk
Could I sheet over them or just remove them ? I've had quotes for thousands just to remove
Attached photos of it
Thank you

If the roof is asbestos there is a risk and it should ideally be removed professionally. Undamaged asbestos sheet is low risk but as soon as it is cracked or broken the risk escalates. Some councils will provide the required sheeting to enable you to pack it yourself so that's worth checking.

If it was me I'd clear the roof first and see what's underneath. If worried, wear boots gloves and a mask and just carefully lift and remove.

In the process of removing my old garage asbestos roof sheets (total area 6.1metres X 2.5). Got 2 quotes for removal £370 & £410, the cheaper one was from the council recommended contractor.0

Don't walk on the roof - I walked on mine ten years ago and then again after ten years and in that time it had weakened so I fell through it.0
