Hi all. I booked a package through Expedia, flights and hotel. This has of course been cancelled. I went onto the Expedia chat and they have offered to refund me the hotel cost, but are not refunding me the flight money. The flights were through Lufthansa, and Expedia are saying they have to work on their terms, which at the moment is only a rebooking for future dates. If I go through my travel insurance, I would lose half the flight money anyway because they take 2 excesses for myself and my wife! Any suggestions? I did read somewhere that if a package holiday is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund within 14 days, but not sure if Expedia counts and whether it has to be through an actual company , such as TUI? Hope someone can help me! Thank you

You are right, if you booked a package then you are entitled to a full refund.  The law says 14 days, although being realistic barely any company is managing that right now.  Lufthansa are refunding passengers who booked directly with them in cash.  So tell Expedia that and ask them to get a cash refund for you.   If needs be you could try calling Lufthansa yourself, they won't deal with you directly as you booked via an agent, but they might at least confirm a cash refund is available.
