Hey all!
So, I’m on a zero hours contract, furloughed and before my employer confirmed that I am furloughed until this nightmare of coronavirus is over, I applied for UC. I’ve checked how much I’ll be getting and it’s got amount before deductions, total deductions and my last pay from my employer which UC will use to work out how much they’ll pay me which was last months pay. Now I’m confused by this because before I read it through properly I thought I’d get the amount that it says next to standard allowance? I’m now questioning whether or not I’d be getting that amount or will be getting very little? Has anyone who’s applied got this? Obviously my pay varies each month because of the zero hours contract but wanted to see if anyone is in a similar situation? I’m planning on calling up tomorrow to clarify but wanted to see if anyone is in the same situation? Sorry if I haven’t made much sense or sound stupid, just feeling a little stressed about financially going through this uncertain time.

How much you're entitled to will depend on your circumstances and how much earnings you receive during your assessment period (AP). If you have no dependents then you won't have a work allowance, which means there will be a 63% deductions for any earned income during your AP.See link for the earnings taper. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/Earnings-taper-Universal-Credit

, I haven’t got any dependents. 0 -
If you've had your statement it will tell you how much, if any you will be receiving.

When I checked it says ‘your statement is now available. Check payments’, so I’m assuming the payments is the statement? When I clicked on payments it came up with everything that I mentioned in the first post if that makes sense? I’m due to start getting UC payments from the beginning of next month....poppy12345 said:If you've had your statement it will tell you how much, if any you will be receiving.0 -
Yes that will be your statement. It was have on there the elements that you're entitled to, your earnings and then the deductions. It will then tell you how much UC you will receive, if any. As i advised, it will depend on your circumstances and earnings whether you will receive any payments.

The statement first shows what your maximum UC entitlement is, it then showsanydeductionsto be made as a result any income you have. The amount at the end of the statement is what you will be paid.ohhello_x said: When I checked it says ‘your statement is now available.
