Natwest Credit card

Hi, 
I have checked credit card eligibility on Natwest site and it came up I am not eligible for one.  I still applied via my natwest app and got accepted straight away with 5k limit. 
Wondering why this happened?.. Is it because I already hold a Natwest credit card, mortgage and current account iwth them and thwee there was some pre approved offers on my account?.
Do Natwest do pre approved offers? Credit check was still carried out.

Credit card eligibility checkers are not 100% accurate. The fact that you already hold a credit card, mortgage and current account with them will have undoubtedly tipped the scales in your favour. 

The question is... Why did you apply for a card after doing an eligibility check that said you wouldn't get it? Bit risky? No offence to you but just seems a bit desperate for credit. Hope everything is ok.
