Honey browser extension for discount codes. Ok or stay clear?

I've opened a few videos on YouTube and this was in the ads. On the face of it it sounds decent but i'm very wary about these kinds of things installing a ton of extras that will have you wishing you didn't bother.

Any experienced users here tried this out and care to comment on it whether it's positive or negative?

I've used this a bit in the past. It seems okay when in use, but to be honest most times it found a discount, I could have just as easily found it myself on one of the many discount voucher web sites. I turned it off for a number of websites that I use regularly, as it was annoying on those sites, and in the end just disabled it totally.

The part of the advert i saw that made me curious about this extension was where they try a ton of failed codes - that's often what happens to me. I find codes that are supposed to work, but don't. Codes where you need to sign up, codes that open a wad of pop ups that bypass my pop up blocker. This was advertised as giving you codes that actually work.

I've used it a few times now, and it's only failed to find a working code once or twice.

I used it a few years ago & found it pretty useless to be honest.
    Got rid............
