NELS I am of the same opinion as you. In fact it beats me how he got in in the first place! And I was lucky like you at nabbing penne yesterday! DS brought me 2 packets from Sainsbobs and said they were well stocked with all pasta. Shame the flour shelf was bare!
SNOOZER I don't know the price of oximeters but, whatever it is, it's a small price to pay if they save a life. And your article about oxygen levels was very interesting and could explain a lot. There is still so much to learn about it.
TAFF I think I should have moved in with you for the lockdown. If there was just one cusine I had to eat for the rest of my life it would be Italian. Theo Randall has just been making the most delicious looking spaghetti dish on Sat Kitchen. I have already forgotten its name but it looked so good I could almost taste it!!
I have cleaned the bathroom and just awaiting the sun getting round the back and then I am out, feet up with my book. I am making the best of it while it lasts!
Take care all xx

I have to admit you all put me to shame on the housework front I really need to knuckle down and start a spring clean but mainly because of being kept indoors for work and play I find it hard to motivate myself not really a good excuse so must try harder
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning again! My trip out was enjoyable, only one ahead of me in the happy hour queue and a quick whizz round. I didn't look for flour, sorry, my trolley had only the Saturday Times, wet wipes, floss and milk. After that I went along to my favourite gazebo shop for a takeaway coffee. The pharmacy next door had a supply of large disposable gloves so I bought a box for my elderly neighbour as Amazon sent him a box of medium size when he ordered large. For some strange reason I just fancied some Crunchy Nut cornflakes, not had any for years and years, so I bought a packet. Just had some with a banana, talk about reverting to ones' youth! When I came home I sat and watched Susan Calman's 'socially distant' programme (from BBC Scotland) - she broadcasts from her garden in Glasgow. A lot of it is daft though it's mostly funny and cheery.TA - you made me order that book for DM.
Thanks for mentioning it. And what a treat, fish and chips!
SNOOZER - you do well to keep such a close eye on Steve.REDRUBY - good to hear you're doing fine. The stockings are horrid, even if necessary. I'm lucky that my surgeon gave me daily dispirin for six weeks as an alternative.Virtual hugs all round.8 -

Hi everyone
Candygirl I enjoyed 'A Fall from Grace' on Netflix the other night
I walked into town this morning to collect a prescription from Boots, then a few bits in Home Bargains and yogurts in Asda. Then I realised the toilets were still open at Asda - that made me more happy than it should have really - as it meant I could stop off at mam and dad's and sit outside with them for an hour! So I ended up being out for most of the morning. When I unpacked the prescription most of it was missing - so I rang and the lady said there were 2 bags! She said they'll deliver the other one on Monday. I'm trying to go into town as little as possible.
Had a treat this afternoon when DD turned up with little grand daughter! We sat in the back garden for about 15 minutes till little one got fed up. She seemed pleased to see me and kept clapping and waving - so very hard not to give her a cuddle though. She was very excited to see oldest cat and kept screeching at him - he was rolling around on the grass beside her, She brought her little wooden trolley and showed me how she can walk pushing it along...she just learnt how to do it yesterday.
She seems to have developed so much - she looks like a toddler now rather than a baby. She's healing up well after her op and no problems with her feeding.
Well going to wash up my tea dishes and then have a read of The Times online. Take care everyone

Hello all,
Nothing to report here, although a little overcast it was a beautiful day here, had more walks than usual wait was lovely to be out. DS3 has been doing a great clear up outside but I have to keep an eye on him as he is not the safest to let near shrubs with a chainsaw!!
Ruby......glad to hear that you are doing so well.......I can sympathise on the stocking, not sure they are necessary at all, but have never taken the chance.
DD1 made some really nice sourdough bread today, she is not happy with it, but I think that it is better than any I ever made.
dp1......I am glad to hear that your little granddaughter is doing so well..........soon we will be able to hug our loved ones again.
TA.......be gentle with yourself, you haven't exactly had an easy couple of years.
Take care everybody and stay safe, much love
