New build wall thickness

Hi, I've been trying to work out useable space for a new extension.
If the room is 3m(w) by 3.6m(l) what would be the using space if the wall is thickness is 30cm
And I right in thinking 30cm will be taken off all walls i.e the useable width would be 2.4m?
Thanks all.

Is this in relation to a rear extension? If so, then your usable space would be approx. 2.4m wide x 3.3m long. That is assuming the existing rear wall of the house would be retained hence why you’d only lose 0.3m on the length.0
