Sorry i could find a relevant header to put this under.
Quick question I need to a solicitor to take on a case for me.
I have spoken to a couple of solicitors who have said they will take it on but will take a percentage of my win. 25% / 35%
I have managed to find what seems to be a really well placed solicitor and a good fit who has said he would NOT take a percentage of my compensation but recover costs from the other party.
Seems like a huge difference in advice from one to another any thoughts?

I can't see how anyone on here could offer any meaningful thoughts based on that level of information - is the case something to do with money matters and/or is it a well-trodden area where prospects of success (and scale of redress) reasonably predictable? On what basis does he believe that he can recover his costs from a separate pot from your compensation (if obtained)? Ask yourself why the possibility of recovering some costs would be better for him than a guaranteed 25-35%? Have you considered more legally-oriented forums such as legalbeagles? Can you find any reasonably credible reviews of the solicitor from similar activities?2
