Concert ticket refund due to the Coronavirus

I have booked to see the Killers in May this year but due to the Corona outbreak the concert has been rescheduled to June next year. I am unable to attend on the new date so have contacted Viagogo for a refund. Their reply was due to the concert being rescheduled and not cancelled they are unable to refund my tickets. What are my consumer rights on this matter and are Viagogo breaking any laws? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm really surprised that anyone uses Viagogo given how many acts refuse to allow anyone in that has bought tickets from them.Life in the slow lane2 -
Your consumer rights are largely irrelevant as Viagogo are essentially ticket touts. They don't care what legislation says and there is little recourse as they are a foreign outfit.
You may be able to do a chargeback from your card provider. Try that.1 -
Consumer rights? Viagogo?
Good one.
I strongly suspect your ticket was non-transferable in the first place, therefore the only consumer rights that exist belong to their original buyer, not you.0 -

Sadly that’s what happens when you buy from touts.
Just had a refund from TicketMaster for a May cancelled concert with no issues at all.0 -
