Campervan hire

Back in November I hired a campervan from an outfit called Unbeatable Hire that have apparently since filed for insolvency (read elsewhere they have form on this). I paid around £200 upfront with some other costs to come. I only found out when I visited their site to find the booking was cancelled with advice on how to claim a chargeback from my bank. I since got a call on 30 March from someone saying the bookings had been taken on by an outfit called Vaaroom and did I want to go ahead with the booking.
The hire is due to start 1st May for 3 nights, but clearly we can't break the lockdown. When I messaged the admin team (who are strangely still using the original booking software) asking if I was going to be entitled to a refund I got an email back to say I could claim a chargeback as Unbeatable Hire had gone into insolvency. They had clearly interpreted my message as a cancellation. I have clarified that I'm not cancelling just yet, and saying I assume my contract is with Vaaroom. No reply as yet. Have had no communications from Vaaroom or anything with their branding on, no contract etc.
So wondering if Vaaroom, assuming they really are now responsible for the booking, are liable for a refund given the lockdown, or is this not a situation that can't be compared with an airline booking? Otherwise, travel insurance or my bank for a chargeback?
Any thoughts really appreciated!
