Claiming back from Amigo Loans
Options
Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've recently seen Martin post about claiming back from Amigo Loans and instead of using a 3rd party company, I've decided to use Martin's free template online. I've sent this off to amigo Loans and had the response of they want to see my bank statements to investigate there claims further. The thing is the loans date back to 2016 and I've had a bad gambling problem, I'm wondering and worries if I send my statements to them they will be used against me. If anyone's got any advice at all it would go a long way. Thanks 👍

If you're telling them they shouldn't have lent you the money that you asked them to lend you, you're going to need to provide them with some evidence to support your claim.
If your complaint was that you had insufficient income but were actually gambling it away, that might be an issue.

Surely a gambling problem is an indication that they shouldn't have been borrowing money, isn't it?
Whether that is deemed the lender's problem or not, I don't know.1 -

I feel like if I send them and deal with it myself I'm more likely to trip myself or do something to cause myself more harm than good. Should I consider giving it to a 3rd party and letting them deal with it. I obviously know the gambling caused problems but at the time I had other pay day loans, my credit was in bits at the time hence the guarantor and my partner at the time wasnt much better. Every top up I asked for I got without stringent checks just 'are your finances the same as before'. Thanks again.0

Never use a third party. All they can do is buy the stamp and post your complaint. You still need to provide the information.

No 3rd party will do anything different than you do, all you do is post th complaint, which you have already done, now provide as much information as you can, you will be informed in writing if your complaint has been successful or not, the only role a claims mangement company would have is as described above, they lick the stamp, post the complaint, and pass on any info between you, they don`t answer questions on your behalf, that my freind is the true extent of their involvement, and for that they will charge you 35%, weather you are successful or not, if you want to throw your money away, then go ahead.

Makes much more sense thanks. I've got nothing to lose. I'm just not best at articulating myself and looks like I'm going to have a weak case. Think it's shot to bits before it's even took off 😂 thanks though people defintley helped 👍1
