Family Legal Protection Optional Extra

Hi, Can anyone help please.
i'm in the process of renewing my car and home insurance policies. Both, car and home, are with the same insurance provider.
Matter of concern:
When I've taken out the policies last year, ending in 2 weeks time, have selected the "family Legal Protection Optional Extra" that covers legal expenses, employment disputes, contract disputes, personal injury, property protection, tax, school admission disputes, leal defence, jury service and court attendance and a confidential counselling helpline etc.
Question:
Is it necessary to take out a separate policies for car and home (which is what I've been doing) or would one policy cover both the car and home in case of any dispute?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or guidance.

You will need to read and compare both legal covers to see what it is they will provide legal assistance with.
If they are both identical, then you only need the one.
If one covers things the other doesn't, are the things what you would want / make use of.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
