D-energi hidden costs

I’d like to warn other possible commercial customers about this small supplier. We agreed unit prices and standing charge. When we received the paperwork, we noticed a section where it stated that a 198p a day transportation charge would apply. We weren’t sure and asked about it. It turned out that this would apply to both gas and electricity which was an additional four pounds a day which made the unit price and standing charge look far less attractive than before.
Incredibly when we asked they were extremely rude saying it was in the Ts and cs etc and on all correspondence. Which it was, they must do it frequently so word of warning to anyone who might be dealing with them.

Business to business transaction due diligence required .

Nothing unusual in that sort of figure for standing charges with commercial tariffs. I pay £2.75 - details were all upfront in the offer.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

It was a clear case of hidden charges which made the usual costs associated with an energy contract lower than competitors. Very misleading. It is extremely unusual and very underhand.0

The unit price and standing charge were agreed. Theses were additional costs that were never revealed during negotiations. I’m just trying to raise awareness for other potential customers. Please ask them about transportation charges or distribution charges or indeed any other costs which will be added to final bill.0

Thank you for raising awareness but this is a Consumer forum as opposed to business .
