I have a minature pear tree and apple tree, i have had them for over ten years in containers but every year they blossom followed by the blossom going brown leaving no fruit, i have tried mixing compost into the soil and different plant foods but in all this time i got two pears in year six which survived but i'm thinking of giving up, they are not pot bound and seem very healthy apart from this no fruit problem, any tips!
Enjoy everyday like it's your last!

Are there any other apple and pear trees around with which to pollinate?  Some fruit trees cannot self-pollinate.

Sounds very likely. What variety are they?

Does sound like neither are being pollinated properly.  If there are no other apple/pear trees nearby, then buying 2 more mini trees (the apple could be a crab apple if you prefer) should do the trick.  Just make sure that the new ones flower at the same time as the existing ones.
That said, 10 years is a long time to be in the same pot/in the same soil.
